Meet the granola that started it all - the OG of  Flatbush Granola Company!

My relationship with granola began many years ago as a child growing up in Canada. There were many days when I would be rushing in the morning to catch the bus that my mom would prepare a bowl of yogurt with granola and a little bit of maple syrup for me to wolf down before heading out the door! I don't even know what was in the bowl, but it gave me that morning boost to get through my commute and hold me over until recess!

Fast forward to the early 2000's and I am making my own granola and keep a steady supply in my pantry. One year, I am late with my Christmas gift giving and decide to package granola in cute mason jars and pretty ribbon and give it out as gifts to friends and clients. It was a hit! It wasn't long before inquiring minds wanted to know when I planned to replenish the supply or if I would be making granola gifting a regular thing. And then one summer day in 2019, my bestie was visiting me from Vancouver and while she was foraging for snacks in my pantry, she came across my granola stash. After a few bites she launched a campaign for the rest of the weekend until I accepted her dare to start selling the granola with 60 days. Thirty days later, Flatbush Granola Company was born and selling at its first popup. Five years and a pandemic later, we're still here with Cranberry Classic and three other signature flavors.
